What is Reiki? Reiki has numerous benefits. From helping  alleviate pain to lessening feelings of anxiety and depression, this energy healing technique offers many different forms of relief and relaxation. The Universal energy channeled during a Reiki session is used by each receiver’s body, mind, and spirit in ways that are specific to their distinct situations. Reiki is effective for so many because the energy flows where a person needs it the most.

How does a session work?

A session is usually 45 minutes long. A discussion will take place 10 min before and after your appointment on Instagram chat or through email. Mama Luna will describe the session to you and prepare you for everything. When booking, you will have the opportunity to discuss any particular problems or issues you are experiencing and tell Mama Luna what you are hoping to achieve from your session. For the actual session, you can rest comfortably on your bed or sit comfortably in a chair and listen to calming music (such as high frequency 432hz sounds or binaural beats). That's completely up to you and how you feel most comfortable and relaxed. After the session is done, Mama Luna will contact you once again to go over everything that came through during the session.

Preparation

When you start getting ready for your distance Reiki session, keep in mind that “space” is multidimensional. Reiki is a body, mind, spirit modality, so take care to prep all three before the time scheduled for healing. None of this needs to take very long, but the few minutes you spend can help you maximize your distance Reiki experience.

Try bringing things into the space that relax you or represent the energy you want to create such as plants, candles and crystals, but artwork and other items can be great as well. If you want, bring your sense of smell into the mix by burning oils or incense. Try to schedule your sessions during a time when you can be free of outside distractions. Make sure there are no pressing deadlines, important outstanding calls to make, urgent emails to send, etc. Also, make sure your phone and other electronic appliances do not directly touch your body so that they don’t interfere with your energy field. You can allow yourself to relax in a comfortable position, seated or lying down. If you need to move around or you get interrupted, don't worry and go back to your relaxing position as soon as you can. The Reiki will work no matter what you are doing.

Please follow your inner guidance about food and beverage choices before and after. Ideally, drink plenty of pure water and eat organic fruits and vegetables. Always follow what feels best to you.
