10 Types of Psychic/Intuitive Readings

Ever thought that you might have spiritual gifts but you weren't sure or couldn't really define it? Or you would love to book a psychic reading for yourself but you didn't know what type of Psychic to approach? If the answer is YES, read the following and see if anything resonates with you.

What is the difference  between a clairvoyant and a medium? Is there any similarity between tarot and the intuitive readers? To make this easier for you, I have created a list of 10 types of psychic readings and their definitions.

1. Astrology – It is not just a fun column you can read about on Snapchat or in the newspaper. That is quite frankly not real astrology and will not resonate about 80% of the time. A  chart that is drawn up for your time and place of birth reveals the  energies, characteristics  and potentials you were born with.  An astrologer can predict  the current trends in your life based on how the planet constellations are currently looking like and compare them to where they were when you were  born. Out of all psychic readings, Astrology is the best choice for you when timing is an important factor in regards to the insight you would like to receive.

2. Aura Readings – Your auric field is the energy field that radiates from  the skin outward and protects your energy body from psychic attacks.  By tapping into this energy field a specialist can gather information about your current state.  You can find memories, symbolic images, and energies that belong to others within your aura. Aura readings are also great tools to help you release blocks that  are preventing your spiritual or emotional health and wealth.

3. Crystal Ball Readings – Chrystal Ball Readings are very known and similar to clairvoyant readings. These are probably the most popular representation of Psychics in Movies. Crystal ball readers can see images or visions through the use of their crystal  ball.

4. Clairaudience – Clairaudience is when psychics receive information through sounds.

5. Clairsentient – Clairsentient is the ability to feel emotions and  energy around an experience, event, or individual.   Often, a clairsentient is trained to help heal and  release past emotional traumas by helping the client to face and deal with suppressed emotions.

6. Channeling – Channeling is often confused with  mediumship, however both are very  different.  It's the gift of being able to receive higher frequencies and receive information from higher beings such as  spirit guides, spirit animals or angels. The psychic channel will basically decode or translate the messages to the  client.

7. Mediumship – Mediums can communicate with loved ones that have passed on to the other side and can oftentimes provide clients with the necessary closure they are seeking. Furthermore, many mediums have also channeling abilities.

8. Empath – An empath is an individual that can feel and control another person’s emotions or emotional state. Empaths that are unaware of their gifts might struggle a lot of times with sudden mood changes and overwhelming exhaustion or stress because they don't know 'why they feel the way they feel'. They pick up and absorb other people's energies throughout the day and mistake them with their own. While an unawakened Empath feels very challenges and imbalanced with their gift, an aware and trained Empath knows how to protect their sensitive senses while working with clients and helping them with understanding their feelings and emotions through energy work.

9. Numerology – Numerology is the study of numbers and  how they apply to an individual’s life. This is not a gift you get born with but a very useful and interesting skill that anyone can learn! Either through the birth name or the  client’s birthdate, Numerologists can reveal future insight about a client’s life.

10. Tarot Readings – The Tarot is a system of 78  cards that are used in many different ways to gain insight into an  individual’s life. Tarot readers use specific spreads (assign less / to focus on a specific topic) to interpret the cards.
